  • Frey Technologies, Inc.

    Description: Frey Technologies, Inc. is looking for an intern to continue working on an existing web site (see above) www.freytech.org/index.php. The company sells commercial pool supplies like pumps, chemicals, etc. They would like to continue designing the website and to add content. A prior FLCC student worked with Frey Technologies for 6 months. The current website uses Flash, HTML, and PHP. The PHP is used to add a news page so they could tell their customers “stuff”. The prior student was able to design it “pretty much however I wanted to and would be available to provide more information (Stephen at stve16@yahoo.com / 585-880-7676)

  • Seneca County Chamber of Commerce

    Description: Our project is not time sensitive, but I would like to get it accomplished this year, preferably, in the summer. Here's a brief project description: The organization is a membership based, non-profit. The current office network consists of three PCs utilizing file sharing. There is a satellite location that utilizes a laptop with internet access. The student would be asked to evaluate the organization's current hardware and software configurations, make recommendations, and implement strategies for increasing the efficiency of information sharing within the primary office and also allowing for secure, offsite access. Specific goals include: data consolidation to a server, calendar sharing, options for offsite data access, suggesting hardware and software upgrades/additions, integrating audio/video into visitor information centers, and implementing a membership management (CRM) system. Data management/entry would most likely be considerable. To achieve ultimate goals, the student would be involved with identifying and applying for grant/funding sources for hardware and software upgrades and changes.
