Internship Requirements

  1. Internship contract signed by you, your employer, and the FLCC CSC Internship Coordinator (see the FLCC CSC Internship Coordinator for a copy of the contract)
  2. At least 225 hours of work
  3. A journal that records …
    • Date
    • Number of hours worked
    • A brief description of what you did on this date and your observations
  4. A presentation at the end of your internship describing your work experience
  5. An evaluation completed by your employer of your work
  6. An evaluation filled out by you about your experience (optional)

Responsibilities:

  • Intern’s
    • To find an internship job
    • To write/update a resume
    • To interview for the job
    • To work in a professional manner
    • To meet the requirements of the internship and contract
  • Employer's
    • To interview potential interns
    • To provide at least 225 hours of work
    • To manage the intern’s work assignments
    • To monitor’s the intern’s work
    • To complete an evaluation about the intern's work at the end of the internship
  • Internship coordinator’s
    • To act as a central point for internship opportunities (Note: Finding a job is the responsibility of the intern)
    • To step in, if needed, to resolve any issues
    • To schedule the final presentation and monitor internship-related paperwork
