International Service Programs

Operation Green: Improving Our Communities

The goal of this program, in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, is to encourage members to improve their community's environment by concentrating on four major areas: Education/Awareness, Recycling, Beautification and Clean Communities.

Chapter Service Projects

Adopt-a-Highway

AEX has been responsible for picking up litter on 2 1/2 miles of route 5 & 20 from the intersection of route 332 to Smith Road since 1990. Ideally, teams of 8-10 members schedule two work days a semester. The most recent pick up was Activities Day, April 17, 2008, when 17 individuals picked up approximately 30 bags of garbage.

Relay For Life

AEX's involvement with Relay for Life started in 2002 with Deidre Bush. This summer's Relay for Life is June 13-14 in Canandaigua. Chairperson is Holly Jackson. The team's goal is 12 members raising $100 each.

Angel Tree

Started in 1981 by Christine Rand, this project provides gifts for children who may not get gifts for Christmas. We partner with Lakeshore Mental Health who provides us with approximately 80 names. FLCC faculty, staff and students support this project which begins after Thanksgiving break and lasts two weeks.

Proctoring Exams

Alpha Epsilon Chi members are afforded the opportunity to help the FLCC faculty in proctoring exams. Check the bulletin board outside B-321 to see if you are available to fill in.

Fundraisers

Pop Can Recycling

We need members to help empty the containers on campus, about once a week. Very minimal time involved. Even if you can only "adopt" one bin, your help will be very beneficial!

Candy Sales

Boxes of 25 bars @ $1.00 each and bags of 36 lollipops @ $.50 each can be signed out at the office B-321

Bake Sales/Raffles

We have one bake sales a month planned throughout the year. Please sign up to help out by baking or staffing the table.

Entertainment Books

The chapter is selling the "Entertainment" discount book. Books are $25. Stop by B-321. You may sign out two books, and return the money as soon as the books are sold.

Please stop by B-321 for more information on fund raising projects.
