Area with many large pieces of rock.
Surface covered with pits.

The landscape below looks like a tire tread.  Walking in this area might be sort of easy if you stayed between the ridges.  It is two miles across.

Surface looks like the tread of a tire.
Surface broken up into more or less regular cells.

The picture at the left shows a place that I would like to explore. The ground is broken up into numerous cells that have narrow spaces between them--enough to walk at least in some areas. The picture is blown up. It is less than 1 mile square.

The image to the right contains a field of boulders the size of houses. This area would be interesting to walk around being far different than most of the Earth's surface. boulders
The image below shows a grooved area that would be a workout to walk across.

There are a couple of different ways to walk in the following picture.  You could have a nice, fairly easy walk at the bottom of the canyon that goes diagonally across from the lower right to the upper left.  Or, you may want to try walking parallel to the canyon; on this journey you would be going constantly up and down into irregular pits.  The pits are probably several meters across.

Large canyon.

The image at the right shows a contact between two layers. It would be nice to walk along the contact.
