I can't connect to the new OWA from
home.
The root cause of this usually is an old page in cache on IE, a cached password
or username that is incorrect, or you may have a shortcut to an old OWA address
at the college. You should clear your Temporary Internet Files (see
instructions below), clear your cached passwords (instructions below), and make
sure you change any shortcuts you have to point to mail.flcc.edu. Additionally,
if you still have trouble with pages not loading, you can add mail.flcc.edu as
a "Trusted Site"(see instructions below, all instructions are for XP
service pack 2, IE v6.x):
To clear your Temporary Internet files:
Tools, Internet Options
General tab, in “Temporary Internet Files” click delete files, check "delete
all offline files", OK
Click delete cookies, OK
Click OK on the Internet Options window and close the browser
To clear cached passwords
Tools,
Internet Options
Content
tab, click “Autocomplete”
Click
“Clear Forms”, and click “Clear Passwords”
Clear the
checkboxes next to “Web Addresses”, “Forms”, and “Usernames and passwords on
Forms”
Click Ok,
OK, close and re-open the browser
Try and
connect to mail.flcc.edu
To add mail.flcc.edu as a
"Trusted Site"
Tools, Internet Options
Security tab, highlight
"Trusted Sites" and click "Sites"
Type in "https://mail.flcc.edu" (without the
quotes), and click Add
Click OK, OK
Close and re-open the browser
Try and connect to OWA
If you continue to have trouble with
OWA, you may have a spyware or malware infection. One web site that can help
with this is www.securitytango.com.
